Program Description

Recorded: October 6, 2021 – Whether it is pre-recorded video or a live Zoom Meeting, all video needs to be made accessible to everyone. During the COVID 19 pandemic, we have all learned to depend on video resources for instruction, meetings, and gatherings with friends and family. Unfortunately, much of the content and many of these video materials are inaccessible to people with disabilities. In this session, we discuss how to make all video content and related materials accessible. Various free tools and resources will be shared and demonstrated.

Participants learn about:

  • Legal requirements.
  • How to create captioning files for recordings and ensure captioning for live video.
  • Methods for creating video descriptions.
  • Where to find free tools and resources.
