Date: December 11, 2024
Time: 1:00 – 2:00 pm ET

Program Description

Drawing of laptop with a figure representing accessibility standing in front of it and a green checkmark.

Accessible digital content means the content is designed in a way that it can be used by a wide range of people. This includes people with disabilities such as learning, physical, and vision limitations. Everyone can get the information they need if it is accessible.

This webinar builds on the information provided in Creating Accessible Documents – The Basics (November 20, 2024). It will present principles for creating accessible digital content in presentations. It will also cover the best practices for using video and audio in presentations. The concepts will be demonstrated using a MacBook Pro.

  • Built-in tools: Participants will learn how to create accessible tables, lists and columns.
  • Alt-Text: Participants will learn about creating alt-text in presentations.
  • Visual presentation: Participants will learn about color contrast tools.
  • Document Navigation: Participants will learn about navigation of digital contents and reading order in presentations.
  • Video Captioning and Audio Descriptions: Participants will learn about options for hard-of-hearing and blind communities to experience digital media.
