Program Description
Recorded: March 15, 2023 – Since the pandemic it has become common to work from home, or to travel between the office and a home office. Whether you work for long hours at a desk or a kitchen table, it is important to know how to set up the workspace to fit your work needs and your body’s ability.
Ergonomic design fits a person to their work area so it is safe and efficient. Our workstations should be comfortable and adjustable so we can easily reach our computers and other work materials. This way we can get our jobs done without tiring too fast or getting injured.
In this webinar we will look at workstation measurements, and comfort features of desks and chairs. We will show you tools to customize your workstation, and light and sound options. We will also present some assistive devices people of all abilities can use to create a usable computer workspace.
