Recorded: February 6, 2019 – This webinar is an update on Maine’s Adaptive Equipment Loan Program which offers cash loans that increase the purchasing power of people with disabilities, seniors and families in Maine. Cash loans can be used to purchase adaptive equipment, assistive technology, or to make home modifications. Loans can be used to buy wheelchairs, scooter, adapted vehicles, hearing aids, ramps, stair lifts, tablets, and “smart home” technology to name just a few.

Loans are also available to Maine business owners to make their business location accessible for employees and customers with disabilities.

Henry Powell from Alpha One will discuss the loan program application process and loan eligibility. The discussion will outline many types of adaptive equipment, assistive technology, adapted vehicles and home access modifications that can be bought using loan funds. During this webinar, there will be an opportunity to ask questions about the loan program process.
