Program Description

“Why in the world would I leave the safety and comfort of my home to wander the disabled-unfriendly world beyond?”
Mitch Sturgeon shares his perspective that pleasure travel can be a transformative experience for people with disabilities – despite the effort and risks involved. Traveling can lift your spirits, provide an opportunity to bond with fellow travelers, and help break up the routines of a disabled life.
This webinar will address considerations for planning where and when to travel, how to get there, choosing your accommodations and even who you should bring for company! Mitch will share practical tips for smart packing, will review the legal rights of travelers with disabilities, and much more!
