Join us for an overview of funding options to pay for Assistive Technology. This webinar will discuss:
- State Waiver Programs
- Disability-specific grants
- Community loan closets, and
- Alternative financing options through Alpha One.
Alpha One offers financing programs to help individuals with disabilities or businesses, including the Kim Wallace Adaptive Equipment Loan Program (AELP). AELP offers low-interest financing that increases the purchasing power of people with disabilities in Maine.
Presenter
Henry Powell, OTR/L – Henry is an Independent Living Specialist from Alpha One, and Administrative Director for the Adaptive Equipment Loan Program. He received his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of New England. Henry has spent the last eight years working with Alpha One as an Independent Living Specialist, assisting people with disabilities to be more independent in their homes and communities. Henry has also worked for seven years on the Adaptive Equipment Loan Program, aiding applicants in acquiring equipment or technology to improve outcomes.
